Retirement Coverage Code Field Added to the Benefits Tab for Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web), Web History Correction Update Processing System (HCUP) Cancellations

Summary

The Retirement Coverage Code field has been added to the History Correction Update Processing System (HCUP) in the Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web). The Retirement Coverage Code field is located on the HCUP 001 Cancellation Action page > Benefits tab. This field is being used in conjunction with Nature of Action Code (NOAC) 385, Term During Prob/Trial Period. Previously, when entering NOAC 385, an error message was generated.

Added the Retirement Coverage Code field on the HCUP 001 Cancellation Action page Benefits tab. This field is being used in conjunction with NOAC 385.

Implementation

To access the Benefits tab on the HCUP 001 Cancellation Action page, complete the following steps: 

  1. Select the EPIC icon on the Application Launchpad. 
  2. Select the Accept button on the Warning page. 
  3. Log in to EPIC Web.
  4. Select the applicable Agency.
  5. Select HCUP.
  6. Select New Package.
  7. Enter the employee Social Security number and the Agency code.
  8. Select the Submit button.
  9. On the New HCUP Package page, select the Correct button on the NOAC 385, Term During Prob/Trial Period list of actions.
  10. Select the Ok button.
  11. Select the Benefits tab.
  12. Make the correction on the Retirement Coverage Code.
  13. Select the Update button.
